R&D activity includes two distinct moments: the research, focused mainly on the idea and the experimenting with new products or processes; development, or applied research, where the inventions of the research take on an economic dimension and turn into innovations.

Although both activities are aimed at seeking novelty, the first is mainly oriented towards the deepening of the knowledge (strategic or purely scientific), while the second is mainly aimed at finding practical solutions or translating some research results into marketable applications.

Applying the experience to the modern CAD / CAE tools commonly used in the field of design, together with the daily comparison with the Group’s production units, and the availability of modern simulation, testing and control equipments, enables our technicians to realize ideas in high performance products, treating every aspect; starting from co-design with the customer, passing through the joint definition of clear and effective technical specifications, to achieve full product qualification in our laboratories.


Hardware engineering for electronic solutions:

  • PCB BOARD: we develop the PCB layout in fast and efficient way
  • PCB SIMULATION: we can make simulations of 3D constraints, circuit in analog and mixed-signal and thermal analysis for pcb printed board.
  • PCB FAST PROTOTYPING: In our company group there is a specialized department able to provide PCB prototype.

Software design for automotive solution: CevLab develops the software project following the V-model flow.

  • 3D\2D MODEL: We develop 3D/2D model starting from 3d model customer surface or simply from a customer sketch.
  • FEM ANALYSIS: Our products are verified with FEM simulation.
  • CFD ANALYSIS: We provide computational fluid dynamics simulation for headlamp/rear lamp.

The simulation of an optical system is based on precise characteristics and materials indications supplied by the customer.
The optical project is agreed with the customer, keep in consideration the product specifications mentioned above.

The Industrial design & co-design are applied mainly to the design of new products.
The goal is to bring together everyone’s energy to achieve extremely innovative and productive results.
