WHICH IS THE MAIN AIM OF THE VIBRATION TEST?

Vibration test allow to verify that the mechanical strength of an equipment may resist to any shock or impact which may occur during its lifecycle. With relation to these tests, it is important to reproduce mechanical stress phenomena that will mostly affect the device. For this reason, it is fundamental to know the environment where the equipment will be used and, as a consequence, to properly select the test norm to be applied.

NEW TECHNOLOGIES AT CEVLAB LABORATORIES

We own a cutting-edge equipment able to guarantee test which are as precise as possible.

At our seat in Lainate (MI) we have at our disposal a vibrant floor which allow us to execute the main vibration and shock testing. In addition to this, vibration-climatic combined tests are carried out through the vibrant floor and a Climatic Chamber.

Since 2018, we have a new vibrant floor at our laboratory in Carpi (MO). Through this, it is possible to carry out tests on large and heavy equipment. Thanks to the versatility of our configuration management software (K2), we are able to perform impact tests on components and products in compliance with both uniform law systems and customers’ direct requests. Everything is conceived in relation with the maximum capacities of the system, whose main characteristics will be found further on. We are able to design and make fixture dedicated to each kind of product. By this way, we are able to perfectly adapt the tested sample to each different expander and to the slip table owned by the laboratory.

VIBRATION SYSTEM’S MAIN CHARACTERISTICS

The vibrant floor is characterized by an Electrodynamic (ED) shaker and a slip table. According to the Fleming’s left-hand rule for electric motors, the machinery exploits the energy generated by the reel located in the magnetic field.

The strains are reproduced through electrodynamic shakers which are able to perform different vibrations types: sine, multi sine, shock and random.

MAIN BASIC TESTS

  • Sinusoidal mechanic vibrations (sine)
  • Broad Band Random vibrations
  • Bump and Shock
